Front

Using US 7 (4.5mm/no.7) needles and yarn C, cast on 45 sts.

Change to yarn B.

ROW 1: Knit.

Change to yarn A.

ROWS 2–8: As row 1, ending with a WS row.

ROW 9 (EYELET ROW): K4, yf, k2tog, *k3, yf, k2tog, rep from * to last 4 sts, k4.

ROW 10: As row 1.

Change to yarn B.

ROWS 11–14: As row 1, ending with a WS row.

Change to yarn C.

ROW 15: Knit.

ROW 16: Purl.

These 2 rows form st st.

ROWS 17–18: Rep last 2 rows once more, ending with a WS row.

Change to yarn A.

ROWS 19–34: Beg with a RS row, work 16 rows st st as set by rows 15 and 16, ending with a WS row. For rows 35–56 use the intarsia method as described.

ROW 35: K15 using yarn A, k15 using yarn B, knit to end using yarn A.

ROW 36: P15 using yarn A, p15 using yarn B, purl to end using yarn A.

ROWS 37–56: Rep last 2 rows ten more times, ending with a WS row. Using only yarn A.

ROWS 57–76: Beg with a RS row, work 20 rows st st as set by rows 15 and 16, ending with a WS row.

Bind (cast) off.
